Points to ponder

A reader writes that he enjoys Matt’s outrageous sense of humor.

Matt responds:

Thank God for humor!  If we didn’t have it, we’d all hang ourselves!

Humor, to me, is the not only the spice of life but the essence of life.

If it ain’t fun, the hell with it!

We have to take our situation seriously, but we should never take ourselves seriously.

We’re here for the blink of the eye, so do the dance, do your part to make the world a little bit better place, and be on with it.

I was dragged into this world crying, but I’m going to go out dancing and skipping and laughing!

The thing to wonder about is, when you leave this world, will there be a bunch of people hurraying that you’re leaving?  Maybe you didn’t do as good a job as you thought you did.

If you lived to a ripe old age, did the great powers of the universe keep you on earth as long as they did just because they didn’t want this bastard coming into their dimension?!

Points to ponder!

Just keep skipping.  It’s better than walking deranged with your head down, not knowing where you’ve been or where you’re going.

So onward and upward!  Laughter is the best medicine.

Matt

Thanks for your "points to ponder," which were fun to read, as always.  I agree with you that humor is needed in the world, but isn't it hard to laugh sometimes when you know of all the evil and sadness going on in the world?  Thanks again for the post.

Louise
